The Canals at Grand Park, located in Frisco, has 20.362 acres and a total of 365 units. It is part of a master plan community that includes senior housing, townhomes, single family, restaurant, retail, and multi-family space. The multi-family area is on the primary road along with the canal that leads into the entire development. On the main street, a building was developed that could accommodate future retail in the ground level.
The scale of the blocks and the buildings changes when moving deeper into the site. There is a series of 3-story buildings, creating a secondary street that leads to 2-story townhomes. This mixed-use community goes from commercial to more residential and ends with a park that has a community center for use by the entire development. This project also includes a clubhouse, dog park, and a pool area.
