This project is dedicated student housing in Ann Arbor, one mile from the University of Michigan’s football stadium. It has a 1-story garage with wood frame above, an elevated interior courtyard with ample outdoor seating space, and a pool with a big screen overlooking it. This space is perfect for students to relax while still being able to catch the big game.
With its close proximity to campus, it is a planned development on Main Street, which required a certain number of non-residential uses. There is an existing building on the site that has been deemed historical, so it was integrated into the façade of the existing building’s design. The exterior skin was kept and built up to the back of the building so that the elevation would be maintained.
